Francois Delhon is the youngest member and now in charge of third generation winery Domaine Bassac. The vineyards are worked organically and Francois is meticulous in his care of the soil and plants ensuring that when the fruit arrives at the winery it is in perfect condition and never requires any ‘dressing’. This is obvious as despite the simple pricing, these are intricate and interesting wines made with obvious passion and care. The Margalh wines are named after the wild grass that can be found among the vines and a sign that no herbicides are used. The white is a blend of Sauvignon, Grenache Blanc and Muscat, the red Cabernet, Syrah and Grenache. The Cabernet Franc was planted by Francois Grand Father, and the age of vines and passion for the variety make this one of the most attractive examples of the grape at this level. The

Chot, Occitan for Owl, is a Provençal style rose made by Francois to arrest the sales of his neighbouring region on his own patch, and produced from Cinsault, Grencahe Syrah and Rolle.
