Winding Wood is a small vineyard project near Hungerford in Berkshire. Its scale allows close, hands-on attention to the vines and the changing conditions of each growing season.

Wine
Brut Reserve combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with time on the lees adding detail to the base wine. Apple and citrus with a gently toasty edge and fine bubbles. There is enough texture for food, while the acidity keeps the finish bright. A bottle for oysters, smoked fish or the first course of a long lunch.

Origin
Winding Wood lies near Hungerford in Berkshire, with flint over chalk beneath the vines. The chalk holds water that roots can reach during dry spells. England's long, cool growing season preserves the acidity needed for sparkling wine.
