Domaine Michel Cheveau is a 14 hectare family estate run by Nicolas Cheveau, his brother Julien and wife Aurelie. The family cellars are on the outskirts of the village of Fuissé, being buily only five years ago as a result of the family house getting too cramped (although Trois terroir is still fermented in the two 3000 litre foudres under the kitchen).

The vines are located in an around the village, with 14 hectares covering St Veran, Macon, Fuisse, Solutre Davaye and 1er Ouilly Fuisse (Buchot Vers Cras Pouilly and Aux Bouthiers). They are worked by hand, by horse and by tractor, and without use of any agrochemicals. Cheveau is one of the few vingnerons who do not fertilize either, choosing to use sward management to stop soil erosion and keep a balance of nutrients in the soil. His vineyards can always bee spotted for being meticulously looked after, but fizzing with life. 

The cellar is a model of perfection. Nicolas is fastidious in ensuring every pipe, tank, valve and tap is spotless at all times, preferring to let the nature in the vineyard allow the best chance of expressing itself. Ferments for the Macon are in individual stainless steel tanks, each one holding a parcel of wine. It is bottled after 6 months on the lees.
Considered to be among the top climats in Pouilly-Fuissé, “Au Buchot” is situation on a steep rocky slope composed of brown limestone. After being hand harvested and fermented using natural yeasts, this wine is aged for 20 months in 600-L barrels (20% new) before being bottled.

Birmingham deliveries

We offer FREE delivery for orders £75+ every Thursday & Saturday within a 10 miles radius of our Birmingham city centre. We require orders by Wednesday for Thursday delivery. For orders under £75 we charge £7.50 delivery within our 10 km radius.

National deliveries outside Birmingham

We offer FREE UK delivery for all orders £100+. Orders placed before 10am on Monday will be delivered by Friday to addresses in mainland UK, providing the wines are in stock, with some postcode exceptions. Please note that orders placed online on Saturday or Sunday will be processed on Monday, for delivery by Friday the same week.
We have no minimum order, although there is a minimum delivery charge of £9.50 for orders under £100 in order to cover our logistical costs.
We try to ensure delivery is made within 5 working days.
For orders under £100 we have worked hard to find the best price we can, bearing in mind that wine is both heavy and fragile. We use ParcelForce couriers who specialise in due care and diligence with fragile and liquids.

European and Worldwide Delivery

Please contact us direct for a quote. Given the complexity of shipping wine internationally we will provide a bespoke price based on requirements.

Bank Holidays

Our couriers do not operate over bank holidays, therefore additional time will be taken into account if an 'order to delivery window' is processed over a bank holiday.

Returns

We offer free replacement on all stock if proven to be damaged in transit.
If our products are proven to be out of condition on arrival we offer replacement stock to the same value.
