AbstractCherry, floral, supple
Sicilian Frappato with little weight and plenty of fragrance, made for a slight chill.

Winemaker
COS was founded in 1980 by three friends in Vittoria: Giambattista Cilia, Giusto Occhipinti and Cirino Strano. The name comes from their initials.

They built the estate around Sicily's local varieties and old bush vines, adopting organic farming and biodynamic principles. Concrete and clay vessels became important tools in the cellar, allowing them to mature the wines without covering the fruit with oak.

Wine
Frappato is one of southeastern Sicily's local red grapes. COS gives it a wine of its own, separate from its fuller blends with Nero d'Avola.

Red cherry and flowers lead into supple fruit and a delicate earthy note. Gentle tannins and a light body make it well suited to a slight chill.

Origin
Vittoria sits in southeastern Sicily, where sandy red soils lie over limestone. Mediterranean warmth ripens Frappato, while its naturally light structure and the vineyard setting preserve a fragrant outline.
