Cà ed Balos is small family-owned winery with 6.5 hectares of vineyards in Castiglione Tinella in the Langhe, restored by Renata Bonacina her husband Giovanni in the 1990s, reviving Moscato d’Asti production since 2008.
The vines are farmed sustainably and are currently under organic conversion, long using ‘green manure’ to reduce further any need for chemicals. Vines are pruned on young wood to increase longevity.
Grapes are carefully selected during numerous passages, picked by hand and whittled down further to obtain only the very healthiest for the finished wines. Renata and her team balances experimental technology with traditional methods, making properly brilliant Moscato d’Asti that cannot fail to put a smile on your face.
