Fabien Jouves is the fifth generation to farm his family's land around Trespoux. Since taking over in 2006, he has made biodynamics and the identity of individual vineyards central to Mas del Périé.

Wine
White grapes ferment with their skins, drawing texture and aromatic detail from Ugni Blanc, Gros Manseng, Muscat of Alexandria and Colombard. Orange blossom and citrus peel, with a fine grip that gives the fruit shape. There is brightness under the texture, making this a useful wine for food. Pour with roasted squash, hard cheese or gently spiced dishes, and serve cool rather than ice cold.

Origin
Southwest France provides a landscape of clay and limestone, with both Atlantic and inland influences. Warm summers allow the white varieties to develop aromatic ripeness. The freshness retained in the fruit gives a counterpoint to the texture drawn from their skins.
