AbstractBerry, herbal, warm
A southern Rhône red from Julien Mus's biodynamically farmed vineyards near Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Winemaker
Julien Mus studied viticulture and winemaking in Beaune before returning to his family vineyards near Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The grapes had gone to the local cooperative; in 2005 he founded Domaine de la Graveirette and began making his own wines.

He farms biodynamically around Bédarrides and Courthézon. The parcels include sandy ground, alluvial soils and stony terraces. Alongside Rhône appellation wines, his Vin de France bottlings make room for varieties such as Merlot, Marselan and Viognier.

Wine
Julien Mus's Côtes du Rhône comes from biodynamically farmed vineyards near Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Grenache supplies its generous berry fruit and southern warmth.

Dried herbs and a savoury finish balance the ripeness, with enough tannin for the table. A more traditional Rhône expression alongside the freer Ju de Vie blend.

Origin
Bédarrides and Courthézon lie close to Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the southern Rhône. Alluvial terraces, clay and stony vineyard ground form the wider landscape.
