Wine
Sanfirenze is a more structured expression of Sangiovese, made as Chianti Superiore from a particular part of the estate. Cherry fruit, dried herbs and a firm, food-friendly outline. This is a red with enough substance for a long meal, while Sangiovese's acidity keeps the fruit fresh. Open ahead of dinner and serve with ragù, lamb or beans cooked with sage.

Origin
The estate lies in the hills around Montelupo Fiorentino. Limestone-rich Tuscan ground and a southerly vineyard position provide the setting for Sanfirenze. Sun exposure supports ripeness, while Sangiovese's acidity gives the fuller fruit a clear outline.
