Winemaker
Simon and Lauren returned to New Zealand after years making wine abroad, including time in Cahors. A Thousand Gods draws on that experience and close relationships with biodynamic growers.

Wine
Flōs puts Pinot Noir at the centre, with the cellar work kept free of additions. Red cherries and a floral note, with a fresh, finely textured palate. Pinot Noir's perfume is given room rather than covered by weight. A bottle for roast chicken, mushrooms or a lighter meal, served just below room temperature.

Origin
Marlborough lies at the northeastern end of New Zealand's South Island. Alluvial gravels and heavier clay-based soils form part of its varied vineyard landscape. Long sunny days ripen Pinot Noir, with cool nights helping retain acidity and aromatic detail.
