A little skin contact broadens this Marlborough Sauvignon, made without additions, fining or filtration.

Winemaker
Simon and Lauren returned to New Zealand after a decade making wine in Cahors and harvests elsewhere. They founded A Thousand Gods in Marlborough, working with a biodynamic grower in the Waihopai Valley.

Grapes are picked by hand and fermented with their own yeasts, without additions, fining or filtration. The name comes from an Occitan expression they encountered in southern France, keeping a link to their years there.

Wine
A little skin contact gives Blanc texture, while the cellar work leaves the wine without additions.

Ripe citrus and passionfruit, with a savoury, gently herbal middle. The familiar Sauvignon fragrance is here, but texture makes the wine feel broader.

Origin
Marlborough combines long sunny days with cool nights. Its regional soils range from alluvial gravel to heavier clay-based ground.
