Winemaker
Nuvo Nivo is Modal Wines' collaborative project with growers they already know. This Côtes du Rhône is made with Élodie Jaume and her biodynamically grown fruit.
The project gives a home to grapes that might otherwise be undervalued or left unused. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre provide a recognisable Rhône blend, made for regular drinking without compromising the farming behind it.
Wine
The blend brings Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre together.
Dark berry fruit, a little spice and a generous, juicy palate. Grenache leads, with Syrah and Mourvèdre giving depth and a savoury frame.
An everyday red for grilled vegetables, sausages or a big dish of beans and herbs.
Origin
The southern Rhône is a landscape of alluvial terraces, clay and stony vineyard ground. Mediterranean summers and the drying mistral are defining influences.
