AbstractCherry, herbal, frothy
Ancellotta and Lambrusco become a dry red frizzante through fermentation in bottle.

Winemaker
Brothers Marco and Gianni Storchi work at Montecchio Emilia, near the Enza river. Their family had made wine on a mixed farm since the years after the Second World War; the brothers developed it into a small commercial cellar.

Pozzoferrato takes its name from their neighbourhood. Organic farming, spontaneous fermentation and natural bubbles connect the wine to Emilia's tradition of red frizzante. The label's symbol refers to the brothers and their mother, Ivana Fontana.

Wine
Pozzoferrato combines Ancellotta with Lambrusco Maestri and Salamino. Fermentation in bottle turns the red wine into a dry frizzante.

Black cherry, herbs and lively bubbles, with fine tannin beneath the fruit. Serve chilled with salumi or rich pasta.

Origin
Emilia lies between the Po plain and the northern Apennines. Its vineyard landscape includes clay and alluvial soils, with warm summers that develop generous fruit.
