AbstractBerry, floral, fine
Local Dão varieties grown together on granite, preserving the diversity of the region's mixed vineyards.

Winemaker
António Madeira grew up in France and trained as an engineer before returning to his family's part of the Dão. He began making wine in 2010 and moved back to Portugal with his family in 2017.

He works small, old vineyards beneath the Serra da Estrela. Many contain several local grape varieties planted together, which he preserves rather than replacing with uniform blocks. Organic and biodynamic practices guide the farming.

Wine
Tinto brings local Dão varieties together from mixed vineyards beneath the Serra da Estrela. Granite and the cooler mountain setting give the blend a clear line of acidity.

Red berries and flowers, with fine tannin and a fresh finish. This is the more immediate side of António's range, alongside the deeper Vinhas Velhas bottling.

Origin
The foothills of the Serra da Estrela form a cooler, granite-rich part of the Dão. Old vines here often contain several varieties together.
